Our Leadership program offers high school students the opportunity to gain experience in leadership, volunteering, event planning, meeting planning, public relations, and collaboration with other teen leaders from various schools.
Leadership Program Guidelines
Ambassadors will serve a six-month term, beginning in July and ending in December. A ‘welcome, training and orientation meeting’ will take place in July.
Eligibility:
- be a Freshman, Sophomore or Junior in High School during our Fall program sessions. .
- have successfully completed one or more Cotillion Academy programs, (exceptions are sometimes made for outstanding students)
- have a pleasant and outgoing personality.
- have a positive attitude.
Each Ambassador is expected to:
- Be a good role model at all times (in person and on social media) to others in: actions, words, deeds, and dress.
- Attend and assist with at least 80% of the scheduled fall Cotillion program. Leadership Meetings (outside of program dates) will be scheduled if needed.
Compensation:
There is no charge to participate. This is a volunteer program.
Approximate breakdown of volunteer hours:
- Working as a classroom assistant, interacting as a role model with the 5th-8th graders during 5th, 6th/ 7th grade cotillion program. Sessions will 4 hours one Sunday evening a month August- December, October is an optional event for Leadership Assistants. 16-20 hours total volunteer time.
- More volunteer hours are available if needed.
- If requested, letters of volunteer hours served or recommendation to future colleges or potential employers will also be available upon successful completion of duties.
